My Prayer of the Day
It contains the Japji Shib (the morning prayer), Rahraas (The evening prayer), Ardaas (The Supplication made after the daily prayer and at the end of The Sikh congregation) and Sohilaa (the bedtime prayer). The texts of these hymns have been given in Gurmukh and Roman scripts. The World Divine Guruvak
Guru Granth Saheb is the Guru incarnate of the sikh people. One of the most revolutionary decisions taken by Guru Govind Singh, the tenth sikh Apostle, was to discontinue the practice of nominating the guru in person.
An imperative of the sikh liturgy is to seek to seek guidance from the Holy Granth for the day. After the prescribed morning prayer and recitation of the Gurbani. Any Shabd picked at random is believed to be the divine command. It is popurlarly known as guruvak.
The word Divine is a datewise presentation of shabds from Guru Granth Saheb which, it is believed, should serve as signposts for the English speaking devotees and seekers of the sikh faith.
